In Melbourne, we meet up with Lisa for lunch, a friend of Tom's. She is charming and enthusiastic, she works in the anti-corruption field, one of the good guys. Even with the short time we have, the conversation runs around the world situation and the solutions. It is so comforting to meet other people who care, so much to do and knowing that we more numerous than what the depressing world news would let us believe. We are not staying in Melbourne. Just enough time to be racketed 150 bucks from a garage for a useless car inspection. We need to think about selling the car and we have less than a month to do so. We are spending some evenings researching the topic helped by Sabrina and Shaun as well as unknown people on Facebook because the procedures vary from one Australian state to another and it gets pretty complex. There is no controls at the frontiers but selling a car interstate proves right away that there actually are several separated states with their own procedures and their car inspections which are not recognized from one state to the other.

Anyhow, we end up putting a strategy together which is quite basic « let's see how it goes once we are in South Australia » as it seems simpler over there. That problem solved, we leave for Mornington Peninsula, an hour away from Melbourne. It is really cute and most important, they have hot springs ! We spend a half day lounging in the 40°C baths or sweating in a sauna just to dive into a deliciously freezing water. We leave this place very relaxed even with the theft of our sandwichs by the local crows.
