After several back and forth emails to arrange the details, we bought our first world tour tickets! A world tour ticket lasts in general 1 year maximum so we bought the first third of the itinerary. Zipworld seemed the best option and their communication is very fluid as well as the interface very easy to use. We also added the multirisk insurance as it covers the whole ticket period which is more than the credit card insurance without being overly expensive.

Septembre 11th 2018 is our set departure date starting with Australia and landing in Brisbane.

We have planes for Australia/NZ, Papeete/Pasqua Island, Pasqua Island/Lima and the rest we hope to find boats to shuttle in between as we are trying to limit the number of plane rides.

Started to plant trees already last weekend even though we know this gesture isn't quite covering the whole impact of plane rides, it still helps with the CO2 one at the very least.

Meanwhile, preparations for the trip will surely intensify as we will also be reaching the end of our respective trainings for our mid-term project, the autonomous farm-inn, in which many many trees will be planted and where we will apply as many things that we will have learnt on the way as we can.

Preparing both the near-term future and the mid-term one makes for a pretty busy day!

On a personal note, this training in organic farming has helped me to learn and practice growing plants and working in a farm, confirming this deep intuition that living with the seasons outside all day long be it rainy, cold, windy or sunny is really something I dig!
